I don't try scams (such as that idiotic go-outside-and-shadow-step or put-up-the-wrong-item/gold), but I take advantage of anyone's mistakes instantly if it benefits me.

Just like in real life; if I find a wallet lying around on the street, I take the money from it, then search of ID, call the person, return everything except the money. I like to call it the Stupidity Tax. Stupidity isn't free, y'know.

Nice. A Peasant Crown is at least good for mid-low level though, whereas eld runes are low enough drops I don't even pick them up if I'm running out of space. Still.

Re: topic, no; firstly, I wouldn't scam on principle because it's just damn low. Secondly, because it's over items in a freaking video game, it's also damn sad.

I have not scammed anyone. However; if someone is stupid enough I would take advantage of it.

Well, maybe if I wasn't so kindhearted and suttle to do something such as tell them they put in more money than what the thing I was offering to them costed.

I used to do allot of power-selling (buy low sell high), but no scamming on my part. If someone will sell an item for half price I won't say no to them and if they will pay double value for an item I won't refuse either. I've been scammed 3-4x on runs and once in a trade (my fault for not noticing) but that's about it.

The closest I have come to scamming people was in the very first days of the game, like the first three, I would ferry expert salvage kits from yaks bend to old ascalon and sell them for 500g saying they were a "special rare kit". I actually sold a lot of kits that way and my friends thought I was so rich when I said I had 10 plat.

I have been scammed before though, again in the early days when there was no reminder on the trade screen if it had been altered. I saved up forever to buy a sup vigor to take my PvE warrior to tombs for iway (lawl) and ended up gettting a superior tactics for like 90k. Maybe there was some justice in that considering what it was for. It was the first time I had ever been scammed in a video game and I thought it was hilarious that some loser would do such a thing. Never cared about being rich, when I make gold I spend it on shit and I still think it's hilarious that people waste time scamming for gold and flipping items (buy low, sell high).

Yes, I did. NOT ON PURPOSE THOUGH.

I was buying/selling colossal scimitars like 2 years back to make money.. I bought one, for like 100k. Then I logged to another character. An hour later, I hopped back to the character I bought the colossal scimitar with, I saw I had 99.9k in my invent, which means I bought the scimitar for 100g instead of 100k. NOT on purpose tho. The guy who sold me didnt tell me about it, so I thought, meh. nvm.

I don't scam. I try to treat others as I would like to be treated most times. I will buy low and sell high at times though, but not to a degree that I'd consider my trading activity to be dishonest.

I just been scammed by Anet. While I was sleeping they stole 3 stacks of victory tokens from my inventory. I dont know how they did it but they left some ugly masks in their place to mock me.

Nope - never ever - sometimes pay more than ppl ask for - if the item is worth more than they ask for.

Actually i think scammers should be banned for life (ppl who try to buy for 100g instead of 100k - its NO mistake - they really are scammers - and should be banned for life)...

If power trading and buying at really low prices is scamming then sure.
Otherwise no.

Have I ever scammed? no

Other people scam themselves for me (they make the prices, I say "whatever"). A few times I have told them they are scamming themselves, those few times they just say they don't care.

There might have been a time when I accidentally put the wrong amount of gold up, but no one ever told me so idk about that .

I once sold a Celestial Sigil for way more than it was worth.
He was the one that made the offer though, I wasn't going to argue. :P

Never.

Not because it's against my morals or anything, I'm just too lazy and there's no real benefit to it.

someone sold me a customized FDS back when i was a noob and they were the coolest swords ever
i spent all my cash on it (like 6k) and was really dissapointed when i couldnt use it, so i sold it on to some other noob for a slightly lower price...
does that count as scamming?

hell yea i've scammed. i didnt pay for about 90% of my runs and i've saved hundreds and hundreds. i'm damn proud of it too. I've tried like selilng scams with the shadow step thing and i've succeded about 4 times. i love scamming people, it's so fun and gets me pumped! I actually scam about once or twice a day, not paying for runs, etc

Best sort of scam thing but wasn't really a scam, i was buying 25 ectos but the guy put up 250 by accident so i got 250 ectos for like 80k lol. if you guys seriuosly were about to get 225 free ectos, you're full of shit if you say you would tell the guy.
